ROCCATURA

Similarly to the “disk” cutting process, spooling technology permits production of coils of widths between 7 and 40 mm.
Materials with a thickness up to 400 microns are unwound from the original coils, cut and wound up again in cross spiraled turns on a cylindrical spindle (spooling).

The main advantage of this operation is the possibility of multiplying the length of tapes that may be obtained in “disks”.

Polifibra is proud of its advanced technology permitting production of coils exceeding 100 Kg in weight.

The materials most commonly cut into coils are:

- Kapton ®, polyester, polypropylene and polyethylene films.
- Aluminium based composites.
- Copper and copper based composites.
- Nomex® based composites.
